Ubuntu Libreoffice than installing the deb-packages

Compatible with LibreOffice productivity suite, other major Office suites with the various platforms available ist. Es is a free software, free download and use the distribute. This is OpenOffice and a fork.

Note:-this is still in beta stage, so if you have experienced problems installing the production systems

How to install ubuntu Libreoffice

Before the installation, open the Office Libreoffice must be removed by using the terminal using the following command

Sudo apt-get Remove–Purge OpenOffice *. *

Note:-Entfernen OpenOffice is optional, you can run side-by-side in the Office and Libreoffice

First you must download the http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/testing/Libreoffice tar tar.gz file from here

When you are downloadable here an extract this file, click with the right mouse button, and then click Unzip now should be en-US folder that should be able to see all these deb-files are simply from a command prompt to open a Terminal and run the following comamnd folder.gif. Installing DEBS

Sudo dpkg-I ~/Desktop/en-US/DEBS/* .deb

Finally, you must install the deb package for integration on the desktop, type the following command with the

Sudo dpkg-I ~/Desktop/en-US/DEBS/desktop-integration/libreoffice3.3-debian-menus_3.3-9526_all.deb

    Thanks for this post, but I had an error trying to run the commands as you wrote, the mistake in my case was the upper-case i you’re using, it creates a mistake, when I corrected writing an lower-case i all was as easy as you wrote.

    Only one detail more, you should clarify the needing of the JRE for run correctly LibreOffice (I love that name, Libre is an Spanish word by the way), in my case I had not installed yet anyone. That’s all.
