STEP 1. editor: /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc
STEP 2. click the find button, enter “AllowRootLogin”
STEP 3. change the value to “true”

Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Halesowen u.k. Posts: 14 login as root is not a good idea, it’s best to just use the terminal when the need arises. This will reduce the risks of accidentally doing something bad.
